RE: accurate loads on a tc encore????

If your willing to measure part of a charge, just measure the whole thing. It's cheaper that way, plus I don't trust pelets. If you put their 50 grain pellets on a scale, they will come up at 37-38...

RE: 36 cal. patches

Cut a piece of sheet-metal to length, take it to a stone and put an edge on it the way you would sharpen your knife. Then find a wood dowel from a hardware store in the appropriate diameter. Once...

ThunderHawk range report.

I took my ThunderHawk to the range this afternoon. Though not impressed, I'm not discouraged. I fired 200 grain Nosler hollowpoints at 100 meters. The groups averaged 3" with both 90 & 100 grain...

RE: White Rifles

It sounds like they declared bankruptcy at least once, maybe twice before. In this situation, I would have been reluctant to give them any money before I saw the finished product. Pull out now, get...

RE: What is the dumbest thing you have done with your ML on the Range or Hunting?

One time I used too much solvent between shots with my CVA .54 cal and got some into the flash hole. I never cleaned the oil out very well and the powder fouled around the inside of the bbl. I...

RE: Knight

I used to shoot a Knight Disc Magnum, with the 26" barrel. That was an awesome rifle. It would shoot 6" groups out to 200 yards. That's about as good as I can shoot with any gun. It's not...

Got my new rifle.

Hello again all. Yesterday, I took home my new muzzleloader. I selected a Thompson Center ThunderHawkShadow. It was still brand new in the box, even though I'm sure they have not been made for...

getting back into the sport.

Hello all, a few years ago, I owned a Knight Disc Magnum, and a .54 calibre CVA hawkin. I sold those in hopes of purchasing an Encore rifle, but that gun was not made available to me for purchase...
