RE: .280 Rem reloads

Better accuracy and flatter trajectory from the 140tsx. The xbt is a finicky little fella. I promise you the 140tsx will not dissappoint. Elk, moose, whitetail, black bear, the 140 out of that...

RE: 7mm Bullets

How hard is it to understand BROADSIDE? I have shot and killed enough deer to know what is going on. That is why I use the x. Bullet performance is NEVER an issue. The shot on that deer was as...

RE: 7mm Bullets

Kinda hard to mistake a growing crimson spot right behind the shoulder. I shoot 200 yard benchrest in the offseason. Questioning shot placement is not an option. Accuracy is my first priority. ...

RE: 7mm Bullets

My reccomendation would be to return the bst's to the shop. I tried them in my 7-08AI. The rifle has a 26"tube and due to the velocities I have been able to get while still keeping pressures at a...

RE: .280 Rem reloads

Because a 280 with a quality bullet like the barnes x in 140grain beats 270 anything. Another powder you may want to try is VV N165. Makes my 280AI really zip with 140tsx. And the beauty of that...

RE: heavy lead for 7-08

The 140tsx will do anything that heavy lead will do. And most 7-08 barrels are not twisted enough to stabilize heavy bullets. Most are at their best with 140grain offerings or lighter ones.

RE: what's your biggest booboo.....be honest?

Trusting a 140grain bst at high velocities. Never again will I shoot an animal with a polymer tipped bullet of any type. Bonded core or not.

RE: 7mm-08 shooting funny?

Perhaps I can be of some assistance. I have loaded for the 7-08 for almost 8 years. Both the standard and AI version. My powder of choice is H-varget. My second is H-4895. Try the barnes tsx in...

RE: 7mm Bullets

140grain barnes tsx. Work for anything short of the big browns. For them I reccomend 50BMG with 750grain a-max. The high weight retention of the x bullet makes the 140 the best choice in 7mm. ...

RE: model 7 308 that didn't shoot well

could have bedded it in the old stock and gotten the same results. I bed every rifle I buy. Before the first shot is even fired. Then the trigger is worked down to 2.5lbs. That is something else...

RE: 7mm-08 opinions

I have been shooting one for the last 7 years. Had my rifle turned into a full custom about 5 years ago. And made it an ackley improved. It is one bad mutha. Several kills at 400yds. I reload...

RE: Ruger Vs. Remington

Remington 700 hands down. Ruger action is sloppy. Trigger isnt much better. And the avaliability of aftermarket goodies is almost nill. There are more custom rifles built on 700 actions than any...
