The Eq24 is the 24" wide model. I am looking at the equalizer also and trying to decide between the two. I am a big guy with a 42" waist and will probably be using the sling seat or the Summit sling...

The regular equalizer weighs 20 lbs and the EQ24 weighs 25 lbs and they are both made out of aluminum.

In my opinion it is hard to beat the Bushnell 3200 or 4200 series with the rain guard feature. I have both and the 4200 has better optics but a 3 x 9 3200 is a very good scope for $200.
