Personally I would choose a .308 or a 30-06 if I was going to be hunting 400+ pound black bears. Not saying a .260 or a 7mm-08 won' t do the job. Just my preference. Good luck with whatever you...

I think black bear hunting could be shown more often. Especially bow hunts over bait. In areas where the bear hunting is good, you can see several bears in a night. You can also see all color phases...

I have seen 4 bucks this summer so far.
- First 2 were in mid June. The one I got a close look at looked pretty nice for the time of year. The other one was back in the bush further and ran away....
