use a little hot water to heat the shaft and insert it will do the trick run hot water for a minite or two and they will loosen right up

i`m willing to bet you have some rotatercup injury there is exersises that you can do to help strenthen the cup to get rid of the pain .go see a orthopetec doct. and they can give you the exersises...
