ballistol is probably the best. that's what i use . But there are other water soluble oils out there.Drilling and cutting oil works...

A yard of pillow ticking should give you close to 1200 patches.remember also that some materials compress a lot more than others. Some .018 might compress to .010 while other .018 might only compress...

I don't know what others use but I just use my knife to cut the patches. they do make a patch cutter though.I doubt that you would get a consistent lubed patch if you grease only one side. The patch...

Actually no. I usually hunt with my 54. or 58 so I have only shot the 45 at paper. plus I only got the barrel a few months ago. I might use it next season just to see what it does.
