Hay Johnny, ya most of the time I will always get a response with the locator.We also had one night were we hadcoyotes and foxes come in together. See I live on a wetland reserve / dog training...

Iv done alot of yote hunting at night. One thing about at night the yotes use smell more than sight, so make sure you cover up. Another thing you might try is to use a shot gun instead of your 22....
