should calls be used during second season in Illinois

I hunt in central IL Marshall county to be precise. Should I use any calls for the 2nd gun season that starts on the 3rd. Not sure what stage the rut is in and need some tips, thanks

hasanyone shot these slugs and are they suppose to be good. I have a Rossi single shot 12 ga slug gun and was looking for the best round to use for deer hunting.
