Seems all surplus ammo in 7.62x54R is either berdan primed painted/laquered or copper washed steel casings. The only brass brass I have found is S&B but being foreign manufactured Im affraid its will be berdan primed too. I thought winchester made "NEW" reloadable brass for this caliber but noones seems to have it or cant get it. If anyone knows where I can get good reloadable brass in this caliber please let me know your help will be most appreciated.

Try Midway - - they are a good outfit to deal with if you reload. Here's a link:

They list brass from Lapua, Norma and Winchester. I use Winchester brass to reload for my .30-06 and it is fine, but if you spend the money on Norma or Lapua you will probably never want to go back.

Winchester 7.62x54R IS S&B, thru a licensing arrangement. S&B brass can be of spotty quality. Haven't tried the brass from Graff's yet, I have always used Lapua in this caliber. Lapua brass is very close in quality to Norma, at a much better price.
