I know this is not the correct forum but since several of you have asked about my 7-30 Waters I thought I would go ahead and show it off. I like it a lot. Currently I am using a Nosler Balistic Tip 120gr ahead of a max load of AA2460 (I think that's the correct number).
The fram is a plain unengraved frame from Fox Ridge. I liked the old cougar that was engraved on the old Contenders but the current one looks like a rabid monkey. It is ugly so I bought a plain frame from Fox Ridge.
The barrel and stock was built by Virgin Valley Arms. The barrel is a 14 inch Schilen and is fluted. The stocks are fiddle back walnut and the forarm is attached with VVAs hanger system. I also added VVA hammer extension. The scope is a Burris 2.5 - 7. I also have a 22 match barrel with a 3-9 Burris that I use for practice.
It's a nice piece of work and a lot of fun to hunt with.

Pretty gun. I have a new G2 contender carbine. I have no pistol barrel or stock as yet. With my old contender I took a lot of game with the 14 inch 35 Remington barrel.
