    i am looking for a home load for my winchester mod 70 with a 1 in 4 twist any recomendations

    1 in 4 twist? For deer size game I shoot Sierra 85gr. BTHP useing 40.0 of IMR 4064...

    1:4"? Are you sure? For a .243 the twist rate should be between 1:8" and 1:10".
