Actually, Mil Surplus ammo might be perfect for your needs. The Aussie surplus is very accurate, cheap, and the 150gr FMJ should give a clean passthrough with little mushrooming and pelt damage.
Or if you want to just duplicate some surplus ammo with 150gr FMJs from Win, Speer, or Hornady would do the same trick.

RE: 308 Coyote Load
I know a guy who uses American eagle 150 grain FMJ in 308 for yotes, they do a good job and dont ruin pelts at all. I just use the same load I use for everything else since i dont care for the pelts, I also use a 308 with 165 gr sierra BTHP gamekings over 45 grains varget, seems yotes are soft enough that these bullets dont seem to mushroom at all where my exit holes are just a hair larger then my buddy with the full metal jackets just be sure its legal in yor state to use FMJ's for hunting coyotes

Depends on how much of the coyote (and its pelt) you want left. With a caliber as large as .30cal, your best bet for a pelt saving load is probably either a FMJ or an expanding bullet designed for penetration more than expansion. Just be cautious with the FMJ's, because they can and will ricochet very easily. Be even more cautious of your backstop.
If you just want to make the coyotes dead, a light varmint bullet is just the ticket. Speer makes the TNT in .30cal, and Hornady makes the V-Max in .30cal as well. Another advantage of a varmint bullet is there is little chance of a ricochet. These bullets are very fragile and will disintegrate instantly on impact with any semi-dense object.

RE: 308 Coyote Load
I thought about loading those speer TNT's for my .308 but i'm not sure what kind of accuracy to expect with a 125 gr bullet in a barrel with a 1 in 10 twist. Is a 1 in 10 twist to fast for that light of a bullet?? Ive also heard that light bullets arent good for fast rifling, is there any truth to that?? I have also heard of fast rifling with light bullets can also cause jacket seperation in mid flight, would i have to worry about that with my 1 in 10 twist??

RE: 308 Coyote Load
My speer book lists a test rifle with 1:10 rifling for .308 loads.
Cool Beans, I think I will set out tomorrow and pick up a box or 2 of TNT's
Thanks for the insight.
