Has anyone used green dot for 357 mag loads? what kind of results have you had? I just loaded up a few with green dot, gonna try them out this weekend. But just wanted to hear some other opinions before hand.

Green Dot isn't listed as a choice in the Lyman handbook ....
All thats means is none of the engineers at lyman decided to use green dot in any of their test loads, Thats Because there are plenty of better powders for the 357 magnum. Green dot is probably one of the least popular powders for the 357 magnum, probably because its not exactly the cleanest burning powder.

I hit the range today, these loads were awesome. very mild recoil for a 357 magnum and grouped very nicely held 5 shots in a 3 inch circle at 15 yards consistantly. Next weekend I am gonna run them through a chronograph to see what kind of velocity they are hitting from my 4 inch barrel. the only down side to them is in the indoor range i was shooting at the lighting is very dim and the muzzle flash was almost blinding.

I chronographed these loads and was not to impressed with the velocity, so I changed powder I am using Unique now. I think i should get atleast another 100 fps out of this powder which will put me where I want to be.
