The partician is made by Nosler and the partician gold is made by Winchester/Nosler . Or Combined Technologies thus it is a improved design made by both companies ..

the partition gold uses a rear steel cup very much like the failsafe bullet.they are also available with or without molycoat in some calibers. as far as performance differences i couldn't say, but the original nosler has been proven to perform and i don't believe the partition gold would do any less the job.

Stick with the original Partition bullet. The Partition Gold does have the steel cup in the base as well as a thicker jacket up front. The result however,is a smaller front core which, coupled with the thicker jacket, does not expand as well. The overall length is slightly more due to the increase in copper and steel in the bullet, but I have heard this can cause problems with accuracy.I havn't tried them myself so I don't know firsthand, just what I've heard on the grapevine.....
