Winchester advertises 250 grain supreme partion gold hangun ammunition in 44 mag. Do you think this would be a good ammunition to use in my ruger deerfield rifle? On winchesters website they list it as hangun ammo, but not uner rifle ammo. What do you think?

Yeah, that would be fine for deer hunting. The reason they do not advertise it as a rifle bulet is because the only .429 inch rifle round is the .444 Marlin and the .444 is not where nearly as popular as the 44 mag.

I didn't mean they don't show any .44 rem. mag. in the rifle ammo section, they do. Under rifle ammo they list 240 grain, jacket soft point, but not the partition gold. Just an oversight on their part you think or is there some reason?
