I posted this a long time ago with not much response because I don't believe the round was out long enough.
Reloaders: What has been your best recipe and what are your ballistics on it?
Shooters: Same question.
thanks

Also,
Do you feel other manufacturers will start producing this cartridge or not?
Where do you find all of the equipment needed to hand load this round?

My loading manual don't have data for this fairly new round. However there's a heck of a lot of good competition for 7MM.........My manual shows 11 7MM cartridges and the RUM makes 12.
Will it be chambered by others?????....Man if anyone had a crystal ball like that, we'd be sitting on Remington's payroll right now.!~! Who would ever have guessed that a .17 caliber rimfire would become so popular?
I look at it's use and it's a fine long range gun for big game such as African Plaines game and North American elk, moose, and caribou. However, there's a whale of a lot of competition for that job from the .264 all the way to .338 Mags and add them up....that's a lot of guns!!!!!!
I don't believe the 7MM STW seriously dented the popularity of the 7MM Rem Mag and I'm not sure the 7MM RUM will either.....but as I said...My chystal ball is very tarnished!!!
Get dies and shell holder from RCBS. They should be in stock.

stone cold, i just started reloading this year for the 7 rum. i am shooting nosler 160 gr. accubonds using 86gr. of reloader22 and achieving velocities over 3300fps. grouping has been 1.5 inches using unfired brass, this should get better i hope with used brass next time and a little more case prepping. ultramags!

I don't know why the manuals don't show the 7MM RUM. My new manuals all have dats fot the short mags and the 300 RUM. But not one has any data for the 7mm RUM. I wouldn't bet on anyone else loading it but If anyone does I would bet on Federal.
