Default .30-caliber 200 grain Nosler Accubond test results.

I have been shooting paper at the local range with the new Accubond bullets from Nosler. Listed below are the test results are from 3-different .30-caliber rifles. All three rifles are chambered in 300 winchester magnum.

Rifle #1 Remington Model 700
Powder: 73-grains IMR-7828
Primer: Federal 215 Magnum primer.
Bullet: 200 grain Nosler Accubond.
Average group 1/2" .

Rifle #2 Savage (borrowed from friend, can not recall model number. I will post it tomorrow.)
Powder: 69-grains H-4831SC
Primer: Federal 215 Magnum primer.
Bullet: 200 grain Nosler Accubond.
Average group size: 5/8" .

Rifle #3 Ruger Model-77 (old style tang safety model)
Powder 68-grains H-4831SC
Primer: Federal 215 Magnum primer
Bullet 200 grain Nosler Accubond.
Average group size: 5/8"

All rifles fired three, 3-shot groups to obtain this average. I used several powders in this test. listed above is the final load each rifle will shoot this year. All three rifles will be used to hunt Elk & deer in the state of Montana this year.

I should also mention that the Accubond shot only slightly better in all three rifles than the Nosler Partition. I must give the Partition proper credit. The average group size with the Partition was about a 1/4' ' larger than the Accubond.

Hey Wolf,
Just wondering if you have ever tried the 200 grain Sierra GameKing??
I have a .300 Win Mag and just started to reload for it. I started with 62 grains of IMR4350, and got groups of about 2 1/2" , obviously not impressed with that so I just loaded a box of the same, but with 64 grains.

What do you think?
