Batman, there is data in the manual for the 180 Scirocco bullet for the 300 RUM. Powders used are Hodgdon - 1000,4350,4831 / Alliant - RL-19,RL-22,RL-25 / IMR - 4350,4831,7828.

If you have a powder prefrence let me know and I will post it for you. Best powder "load density" is with the H-1000 @ 100% case fill and RL-25 @ 96%.

Interesting.......within 1/10th of a grain the same as Hornady lists for their 130 interlock.

7MMXBOLT,

Greatly appreciate the info, actually those are the two powders I was thinking (H1000, and RL-25) can you give me the Min/Max for these two powders for this bullet, as well as maybe the RL-22 as well... Thanks!

Hi Bill
Is there a load listed for the 100 gr. Scirocco in 25-06?
Thanks
Troy

Negative....this reloading manual is "Number One" copywrite 2007. They only have data for the 100gr A-Frame for the 25-06.

Did swift come out with this 100 gr Scirocco bullet recently? I wouldn't mind giving that bullet a try in my 06. I'm working with the 100 gr Accubond & 115 gr CT Silver tip at the present time but I have been a big fan of the Scirocco bullet since it first came out.

Thanks for the prompt reply !

Not sure when the Scirocco came out. I reload the 25 for a friend and his son. He has always shot the Winchester 90 gr positive expanding point factory load. I loaded up some 87 gr. Speer TNTs and 85 gr. CT Ballistic Silver Tips last spring. Came up with 2 very accurate loads in his son's Ruger Bolt Action. Just too light for whitetail though. Was looking at the Scirocco or Barnes TSX in 100 gr. next as they are both speed addicts (as am I) and would prefer to go as light as I am able. How does the Accubond perform on deer?

I couldn't tell you first hand but based on everything I have researched on other forums to this point the word is it does very well. Plans are to do some gel & media testing here after the holidays at different velocities to get an idea of what I could expect..so we'll see. I already have a great load worked up with the 85 gr CT Silver Tip that I use for Coyote but I really would like something a little more versitile that I could use for Whitetail & Yote's. I really like the TTSX Barnes bullet also but they are a little pricey however, I have the Quickload software coming in any day now which will help keep the cost down when doing load developement. Because I like to explore all possibilties I tend to go through 100-200 bullets during testing so the QL software should cut that down considerably..atleast that's the plan anyways.

I use Nosler 180gr. Partition, and H1000 powder in my Remington 700 Sendero in 300 Ultra Mag. Works great on elk. Very accurate also.
