Default question on 44 mag load

Which bullet would be better for deer in 44 mag if everything else was the same. Soft-Point, Hollow Point or Hollow Cavity.

Thanks in advance

Me too-the Lyman 429421 or the RCBS equivalent, to be specific.

Another me too...

My bullet of choise forlong range target shooting and hunting is the RCBS 44-250KT. I cast them hard enough so i can "just barely" scratch the bullet with my thumbnail... I've won a lot of solhouette matches with that bullet back when i was competeing... I've also taken many animials from moose on down with it too...

Check out the Ranch Dog moulds from Cast Boolits. The six cavity give fast production and a great bullet for hunting or target.

I'll simplify it for you. They'll all work good. For deer any of the 215 or 240 gr bullets will do great. No point in using anything heavier, it just adds recoil and makes your velocity and trajectory go down the drain. The guys who champion super heavy bullets probably never hunted with the lighter stuff or they would know that stuff is a waste of lead.
