I have a RCBS case trimmer 2. It's seen a lot of long brass and doesn't cut very good anymore. I can't seem to find out any information about buying a new cutting head. Any sharpening ideas or just scrap the old one and buy new?

RCBS's part number for the Case Trimmer Cutter is: #09406 @ $12.95 www.rcbs.com Ph. 1-800-533-5000. Go to www.wideners.com Ph. 1-800-615-3006 Extra Case Trimmer Cutter part #RC09406 @ $12.00 + S&H. Good luck.

most everyone uses a lowcarbon steel and case hardens them for a case trimmer cutter. Often times the employees sharpening them at the factory over sharpen them and they don't stand up. There's usually no chance of sharpening one of these cutters where the hardened edge is gone.
Get a replacement.....or better yet....look to L. E. Wilson case trimmers
