I have the Lyman Universal trimmer and it is a really nice trimmer and very solid and well made. With saying that I just trimmed close to 200 cases with it about 4 days ago and I am either going to get the power adapter for it or buy the whole power trimmer Lyman makes. Even as good as the Lyman Universal trimmer is if your doing a lot of cases it bites big time having to hand crank all of them. The knurled nob on the crank did a number on my hand. I like the Lyman Universal because of the the locking chuck that fits all calibers and eliminates all the colletsand the 9 pilots that come with it that will fit most calibers that keeps the cutting head square with the case.

I use a Redding. It works well, and I can get a lot done quickly, but large batches aren't a lot of fun.
Case trimming is probably my least favorite part of the process.

I have a Hornady trimmer as well as many of the Lee case length guide/trimmer. I also have drilled a hole in the center of the cutter and epoxied the threaded shank from a case neck brush for use in my RCBS power station. I used the lock stud in the cordless drill for a long time as well.

I have a Hornady (hand crank) model. Yes, it takes a little time to trim a 100 or so cases, but I honestly don't need to do it that often, when I'm loading rounds in the midrange of recommended powder charge ranges recommended by the bullet/powder manufacturers.
I mounted the Hornady trimmer on a 3/4" piece of plywood that I can just clamp to my reloading bench, when I do the trimming. That way I have a stable platform making it easier.
