Whats better, nylon or bronze bore brushes?? I'm need to buy a set, but not sure which is better. Right now I use both, but I want tobuy a nice Tipton set for all my calibers.

Thanks

Nylon bore brushes are pretty useless. A bronze bore brush is so much better for getting out copper and lead fouling. Been using bronze borebrusheswith Hoppe's #9 for over 50 years. Have never seen a bore damaged by a bronze brush.

I use bronze myself. Just make sure to rinse them off after using with solvents, they'll last longer.

Probably since this has nothing to do with reloading, you might get more responses in the guns section.

But i use both.

One thing I got lately which is very cool is tiptons new "ultra" jags which are coated and won't react with solvents.

BC- I was going to post in "guns", but didn't, don't really know why. And yes, I was already planning of buying the ultra jags too, and the one piece cleaning rod.

I use bronze brushes with Shooters Choice etc., but with Barnes CR-10 I use nylon brushes. Good luck.
