New to Reloading
Hey guys, had a friend of mine give me a bunch of reloading stuff that he didn't use much, so now I'm reloading. (Yet another distraction from the school work I need to do.) Anyway, I have some 140 grain Semi wadcutters for a .38 or .357 but I can't find any info on how much powder to put behind it. Anyone know where to look? I'm using Hercules Bullseye powder. Thanks.

In the book that I have I am showing between 3.5 to 6.5 gr of powder depending on the brand. It should give you some sample loads on the can, or you could always go to the makers website. If that doesnt work you could get a book from your local sporting goods store.

I would suggest getting some reloading manuals for that caliber or a general manuals for all calibers. It will have more info than you need.
I use Accurate #5 for my 38/357 and use 5 gr. in the 38 with a standard primer and 7 gr. for the magnum with a magnum primer.

If you are shooting a 140 gr. the load for the 148 should be lower than that of the 148. So you should be ok. But it also matters if you are shooting copper jacket bullets or Cast bullets. You need to read other manuals. Don't just take my word for it. do some serching on the internet. Lots of load data out there.
Try the Reloading Bench for one.
