I usually use Shilen barrels. I used Douglas barrels for a long time too. Both are really good. Hart's are great, but I think they're still only offering stainless. Kreiger's are really good too.
In your case, money probably being an issue because of school, Shilen and Douglas are great choices. Fine barrels that aren't terribly expensive.Adams & Bennet, &ER Shaw's are ok but if you're going to try and sell those rifles, the two names don't carry muchweight with knowledgeable buyers.
Contact Brownells. They will probably give you dealer rate since you're in school. They did for me over 20 years ago. Midway may do the same.
By the way, where are you going to school? I went to Trinadad years ago.
