Default 139 gr Interbond?

I'm loading some 139gr Hornady Interbond for my .280 Rem. and the bullets are really pointy with the polymer tips. What would you recommend for an C.O.L.? I seated them to 3.345 and they show max at 3.330. But compared to my other 139 gr Interlock SPthey look like the Interbonds could even be seated out further. Anyone have any advice or experience with these new polymer tipped bullets? Could use some input. Thanks, Craig.

I tried these (.277 130 grain)in several .270 Winchester rifles and could not get groups better than 2". So I never tried them on game. The overall length issue is generally a function of throat length and magazine box length. Seat the bullet at least one caliber deep - from there, try to seat it about .010 off the lands. Then see if it will fit in the magazine box.

Like Roskoe I tried thes bullets in my 7-08. They didn't group worth a darn. The Hornady interlocks in the 139 gr do shoot well. Maybe its the bullet profile. Who knows. But for me, the interbonds do not shoot as well as the old interlocks.
