Default Interbond accuracy?

Ive been shooting 165g interbonds in a 300 weatherby with only ok accuracy--ie--1.25 to 1.5" has been the best with 2.5" seeming to be most common. What has your experience been when driving them near max pressures? I was told by someone at the range today that this was his experience. Please advise.

I shot a few behind RL22 in my .300 H&H the other day at a range and got several groups 7/8" to 1 1/8"

I was very pleased.

I shoot them in my 30-06 and they are basically interchangeable with the SSTs in the load I use. I get three shot groups under and inch when I'm doing my part. I load for accuracy not max muzzle velocity.

This may or maynot help...I just came in from the range, working up a load for my 308, its a model 7 with a 2x7 leopold. I was shooting 165 nosler ballistic tips, and decided to try 150's with the same powder load to make a milder, midrange load. I also just got a new BLR in 308 so i figured i could also site it in at the same trip. Bottom line, The model 7 shot a .80 group of 6 rounds..3 of each load ... no change in point of impact at all and a nice group for different bullet weights and a "thrown" charge (not weighed individually). The blr on the other hand would not group worth a damn with the 165 gr rounds and shot a nice 1 inch group with the 150's and with iron sights no less!! so maybe try a different bullet weight for your rifle, some times it makes all the differnce in the world.

I was shooting 165 gr. IB's through my 30-06 Sprg., and tried three different powders before I could get them to group with IMR 4831. I finally obtained .75" five shot group at 100 yds, using a step below Max. with Hornady data. Whenever I used Max. loads with IB's they did not group. Good luck.
