Default Best Auto Priming Tool

I've been having a lot of trouble with the standard Lyman Reloading Auto Priming Tool. I can't seem to get it to drop just one primer or to drop any at all. I can't find a happy point.

So what is the best auto priming tool out there?

I came across the Lee Auto Prime II which looks like a large dish that holds primers and feeds them in from above the press. Does anyone know about this one?

Thanks

Tom

Get yourself a good had primer. I have RCBS, and don't like it much. But the new RCBS is supposed to be head and shoulders improvement. Alot of guys like Lee hand primers. Reason I don't like my old RCBS one is you have to take it apart and put in your shell holder. Not very user friendly, but works.

I have use the auto prime of type on my lee1000. I don't like the feel. Its ok for 9mm loading but I like consistent feel of a hand primer. Seems to load much more consistent.

Hey BC,

I'm ok with minor inconsistency as long as I can prime quickly. How much longer would you say the hand primer takes over the auto primer?

I'd like to hear form anyone that is using the Lee Auto Pimer II.

Edit: I just read a review that the hand primer does not require you to handle the primers. I think I'll go with the Lee hand primer.

I think hand priming quickest. Just prime in a separate step. Takes me maybe 15 min to prime 50 pieces.

don't underestimate the value to accuracy by consistent primer depth. It does make a difference.
