They just built a new super wal-mart in my town, second one now and I noticed they have very little if any sporting goods stuff. Went to the other wal-mart and asked they guy about it and he said that wal-mart is shutting down about 75% of its sporting goods departments. He said each "district" will have one and all the stores in that area of the one will not. He said wal-mart is having alot of problems with employees not doing the background checks right and getting fined by the goverment for paperwork errors. So he said they will stop selling alot of the guns at stores but try to keep stores that have them within "good" distances so people can still drive to get guns cheap. Lucky for me the old store will keep their guns and I will not have to drive. He did say that ours will be expanding so maybe I will be getting some reloading stuff soon!!

I'm stationed down in Georgia and even the gunshops don't carry reloading stuff. They say there isn't any market. Hell i'm a market, aren't i? I know at least fifty other guys from work and the local ranges that roll there own.

I tell you a store thats getting too big for its britches....bASSpro! I live about an hour from Springfield Mo. I usually make a few trips a year down to bASSpro. On my last trip I got so mad I don't know if I'll ever go back. First off they had decided not to carry reloading supplies anymore. I wanted to buy 1000 shotgun primers, a bag of shot, and some AA wads to load up some trap loads. Too BAD, So Sad. then on top of that I stood at the gun counter for 30 minutes trying to look at a over and under shotgun. I kept saying: "hey buddy,,,Hey buddy," to every attendant that walked behind the counter. They didn't even have the decency to acknowledge me. I mean if they would have said: "I'm sorry sir, We are real busy and I'll be with you as soon as I can" that would have been one thing, but they just walked past me. And they weren't "THAT"busy.

I agree, they put a nice Bass pro here in MD. Started out with alot reloading supplies. Now its gone down to almost nothing. They said they are deciding what to do, whether to quit selling it or not.

I think all they care about is high margin clothes. They can make 300% margin on crappy shirts and stuff.

But I noticed cabelas started not having all the items anymore. I was thinking of getting a caldwell lead sled, and they don't carry it anymore. So started looking at few more things, and they have quit supplying like different brands of chronos, no more mcmillian stocks and very limited H-S stocks.

Guess I will have to give my business to Midsouthsupply.
