Premium bullets include
1. Nosler's Ballistic Tip
2. Swift's A-frame
3. Hornady's SST
4. Speer's bearclaw
5. any of Hornady's round nose bullets
and we're in for a run of good luck. Both Hornady and Nosler has announced they are going to bring out bonded bullets this spring.
Sorry, both Speer and Hornady make some fanatically good solid as well!!

Vapodog-By many peoples definition of premium bullets only the bearclaw and a-frame would be premium bullets. The others in you list may be good bullets but are not what most people refer to when they say premium bullets.

Stubblejumper, while I think most folks would agree with you, I've been so impressed with certain other bullets good performance that I just call them "Premium"
Without a doubt, the 180 grain round nose in a .30-06 will perform like anyone's bonded bullet time after time. It's a well kept secret....but no one loads them when they can get longer range with a spitzer style bullet.
Hornady's series of "solids" for the .375, .416, and .458 must be considered premium in my eyes as well as Speer's series of solids! I've been told that solids are the way to go on certain large and dangerous game where deep penetration is required.
But most folks would definitely agree that these don't fit the term "premium".....a premium bullet carries a hefty price tag and many of the ones I mentioned do not!

Gentlemen, with all due respect, I'd hope we could refer to premium by performance and not price.
I don't have personal experience with other's round nose bullets but Hornady's .308 cal round nose is as premium as it gets!!!
I can only assume that applies to other manufacturers as well.
