The resolution just past the AF&GA Conference in Feb. and I wonder if the AF&GA has had time to present their resolutions (recomendations or requests) to SRD yet. Did the person you talked to say that they were aware of the resolution or were you just discussing the idea?
" Fair" is diffrent things to diffrent people. Some think the whole priority system is not " fair" . With the old system of a lottery draw everyone applying had an equal chance of being draw. One fellow might apply for several years and never get drawn while his buddy could possibly get drawn every year. (I don' t think this happened as often as one heard stories of it happening) In the prioriyt system you can be sure you WILL get a permit eventually in a certian number of years but you are also sure you WILL NOT get a permit for a certian number of years first.
The goat draw does not use the priority system.
The unassigned permits give an opportunity for someone who is watching the system and ready on the phone to get a chance at a permit they may otherwise not have a chance at for several years.

Duffy-The person that e-mailed me said he was aware of the resolution that was presented by a regional fish and game zone but that the fish and wildlife department decided that it would be too complicated to be operated fairly while respecting the priority system that is now in place. His words were" at this time the fish and wildlife department has no plans to change this aspect of the special draws"

Thanks.
How much snow have you got up McMurry way? We have a pile and 1/2 here around Rocky. Enough to reduce the travel of whitetails to the fastest shortest rout to and from bedding and feeding areas. That will make looking for sheds easier if one gets out and on their trails while they are still restrickted.
Have you seen the new Alberta Fish and Game Association' s Record book?

Duffy-We have gotten a fair bit of snow lately but still have less snow than usual. As for the condition of our animals I really can' t tell you because our game populations are low and I rarely see many animals.I don' t hunt around except for black bear because of high hunter numbers and our low game populations.
