I'm trying for the 10pt this year, I know he'll be a monster next year, but with only 1 archery deer under my belt I'm not too picky :D

I'm all for joining I just gotta look into it...I have no idea as work is crazy these days, I'm definately in though.

Ag as for your question on the land...all I can say is scout scout scout. All year all times of the day. Get in there and see what's happening and see if there are any patterns. Some places are very difficult to get into because of the brush and my suggestion is get on a high spot and glass. I'm actually going to get a few game cams to strt scouting our new area, those seem to be worth their weight in gold.

Hey JD, your right, those trail cams are awesome! The only problem is where I live you can't trust leaving an expensive one in the woods.[&o] I have 2 that are 35mm and give up decent pics but I wish I could use one of the digital cams (Cuddeback) with the pic cards that hold tons of pics and give better quality photos.;)I love when you post pics, they're always super good quality.
Only 6 more weeks until I hit the ZONE! I can't believe it's been almost a year already. I'm psyched even more than last year, if that's possible!:D:D:D

early...I'm weary about leaving a $500 piece in the bush as well, so I'm going to get some cheaper models and use them. A guy on another site was using one I saw for $50 in Vegas at Wal-mart. That should be good enough until I can afford my own piece of property. I'm planning on using them before & after the hunting season, that way there should be no one out to steal it..hopefully;)You must be getting stoked! It's pretty warm here right now but it's supposed to cool downon Sunday. What date are you going again?

Just wondering if you do any mulie hunting down in the Nanton turn off by Chain Lakes area? I was on my way through there and back from Fernie for my Elk hunt last week and saw3 200 class bucks together feeding along the highway where it curves alongside of the hill just past the Chain Lakes turn off. One definately was 200 class,I would have stopped for pictures but my camera was packed away under tons of stuff LOL . Figures always something comes up in time of need.[:@]

Another thing to consider besides theft is an animal damaging the camera. I first used a trail cam last fall, all was going well until a bear came into the area. He sheared the bolt of the camera that screws into the tree. I am amazed he never broke the camera but he never. I got the buggers pic though so i still have a bone to pick with him. I have heard of a few guys around here putting the cams in a fuse electrical box to keep the bears from gettin em. just a thought. problem with bears is they are naturally curious. I'll post the pic up here later, was goin to run it on milk cartons around town but decided not too:D. Nice to see you again yf how ya been keepin you ol mangey coyote.
