Browning Stainless Stalker 243wssm going to put a Bushnell 3200 elite short action 3-10X40 or a Aplen Apex 3-9 X42
Ive seen good write ups on the Alpens but not seen one in person, what would you pick and why??

Neither. For $250, get a Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9 X 40. Best out there in that price range.

check Pentax out, even their cheaper line (Gameseeker) are very good and reliable.

My advice is to make only one post in the pertinent section so everyone can respond to one post. That out of the way I Burris Fullfield 4.5-14 or a Bushnell 4200 3-9x40 would be perfect for the gun. You definitely want to go with a short tube scope.

got to put the burris, bushnell, nikon prostaff, monarch, and buckmasters side by side tonight and burris won by a mile

Be sure to compare prices between what you have found, and www.theopticzone.com and www.swfa.com . I have not seen any prices lower than these two places.... Plus, on some scopes these sites offer a free set of Bino's or a Garmin GPS as a package deal.

Now thats hard to beat....
