Gday im buying a Tikka tactical rifle in 300 win mag. So im looking to buy a nice long range tactical scope that isbudgetpriced but can deliver the goods out about 600 yards on deer size game.

Go for the zeiss conquest 6,5-20x50, yo've gotta match the rifle with a proper scope...

I had a Nikon Buckmaster varible Power on my Rem 700PSS .308. Used it to compete with at Sniper competitions in Florida and California. I bought that since at the time I couldn't afford the$1200 Nightforce I wanted. This was also a hunting rifle for me, and had luck using it shooting prairie dogs at 600+. It is crisp and clear. I am /was much more impressed with it than the $1000 Leupold Mk 4that I have now on my .338 Lapua. It's been about 5 years since I bought my Nikon, but I think I paid around 350 or so at a Bass Pro in Nashville. I am sure that there are others that might work better for you as well. Just another one to look at.
