Has anybody saw the new Cabelas scope in real life? The one with the bullet drop compensating target turrets?? I thinking about getting one for my .223...

which manufacturer makes the Cabela's line of scoopes?

i just went to Cabela's and looked at it. the BDC is not going to be accurate on a .223 because it is only designed for a .17HMR round. the scope still might work due to the .223's low recoil and sighted in at one distance. however the BDC is going to be way off due to the different ballistics between the .17HMR and .223.

They have different models of the scope. Some for .17's, .22's... One for .223, 22-250... and onefor .270, 7mm Mag...They come with different turrets for each caliber.

well then, you should be o.k. when i looked all i could find was the .17HMR one. i did not see where it said it was offered in any other caliber.

Has anyone ever tried any of the Cabelas brand scopes? How were they?
