Default Suggestions Shotgun Scope

Hoping to get some real world advice for a scope to put on my Browning 12ga. If price were not a major concern, I am looking for some opinions based on your actual experience with your scope(s). I would like something with some pretty good eye relief. I know the Nikon Omegas have 5" eye relief and I have always liked the Omega. I know they make an Omega that doesn't have the BDC built into it. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on a shotgun? Aside from the Omega, are there other good scopes that will handle the blast of a shotgun and have good eye relief that I should look at? Thanks in advance for all your ideas!

I think you should take a look at the Nikon Prostaff. It is made for shotguns and ML's, you can get in 1.5x4 power, 2x7 power and larger. They have a full lifetime warranty and run about $125. They do not have all the bells and whistles, but sturdy and good for price.

My vote goes for the Nikon Pro Staff as well. I've got a 2x7x32. I think the eye relief is 3.8 inches. $125

Mabye you have already bought one, but I have one I really like and it is low cost.

I shoot with the Buchnell Banner 3-9 X40 and it works great. I have dropped it repeatedly in snow, shot it when its allmost dark, ect. It always cleans up nice and works well. It is about 80$.

Ive used 2-300$ scopes and like this better.

well if price is not a concern your best bet would be a nightforce 1-4X24 NXS, but they retail bor about $1000think about how far you usually shoot, and if the deer is running or stationary. i put an aimpoint red dot on my slug gun because 1, i dont need magnification as all my shots are normally under 100 yards, and 2, red dot sights (and Eotechs)are the FASTEST sights period. which is greatfor jumping deer that are on a run (i walk and do drives mid day). 3, you can aim with both eyes open. the battery life on most aimpoints is 50,000hours, so you can pretty much leave it onfor 4 years
