i have a simmons 8point scope that came on my .17 that i recently bought can i put this on a muzzle loader instead or is it not going to be able to withstand the recoil

A family member just purchased a Savage 110 30-06with an 8point simmons. right out of the box it shot a 3 shot 15/16" group 3/4" low @100 we moved it 3 clicks and it took 3 more shots to settle in...32 shots later it totally lost zero and will NOT hold true anymore. Not even on an old Stevens 121 22lr

thanks for the info ill keep it in the box i decided to trade the scope that was on my muzloader in for a new bushnel 1.75x4x32 and like it alot better then the one that was on there so i think im set now

I've got one of those my my 1187 deer gun. Love that scope!!!!!
