Which scope will be good for a muzzleloader?
Hey guys i wanted to buy a scope for my muzzleloader but wasn't sure which one to buy and how much power. I was wondering if this one will be good enough for a ML. I wont be shooting no more than 150 yards. Also which power should i get it?

You might want to ask the same question on the ML forum. I can't use a scope for hunting so I haven't mounted one on my White yet.
I believe Cayugad uses a Nikon ProStaff 2X7 onone of his MLersand really likes it. It won't break the bank either.

I haven't used it but like mentioned I have seen a number guys on the ML forum post good reviews on the prostaff. I have had excellent results with the elite 3200 on MLers.

The Prostaffs are a decent scope,But I feel that the Burris Fullfeild in 3x9x40 is a better scope for the money. You can pick the Burris up here on the net new for 150.00 plus shipping

There are quite a few good to very good scopes in varying prices. I would look to spend $175 or more and power depends on your preference. Even though I do not currently have a scope on my ML, as not legal to use during ML season in Minnesota, I would be inclined to put a 1.5x4.5, 2x6 or 2x7 power. If you anticipate shots up to 150 yards then any of the 3 above mentioned powers would be fine.

Last Friday I bought a Nikon Buckmaster 4x40 to put on my muzzleloader. I felt no need to put a variable on a firearm that won't be used past 150 yards. To be honest, I might have chosen something different, maybe a Leupold FX for example, but I was hunting Saturday and needed something then and there. The Buckmaster was all they had that came close to filling my needs. I mounted it and zeroed it Sat. morning and hunted with it that afternoon. I'm pretty pleased with it.
