OK all you supporters out there, they must have more letters of support at the February meeting to make this happen. So click on the following link and send them the following. I ( name and IBO #) support the establishment of a Senior Hunter Class and would shoot this class if it were implemented. [email protected] Thanks, rcher

rcher,
Are you sure it is not to late? It seems like they have already had their meeting and have come out with the changes for next year. By the way how many letters or emails do you think they got on the new MHC? First I have heard of it. Anyway good luck with the Senior Hunter Class, I think the IBO would get a lot more participation in the SHC then they are going to get in the MHC. JMHO

BOS, I have been assured by the highest authority that if e-mails like I proposed above are sent that it will be a matter for the Feb. meeting. I couldn't agree with you more though on the money class for hunter. I saw no letters here, or on any other forum, like we had for our proposal and yet it was put through. I would really like to know the process from begining to end to accomplish a change or a new item instituted. Lets here from the powers to be on the guidelines, which must be implemented to achieve this, and also then we will have our answer if they in fact were the same guidelines that were followed for the money class implementation. I hope you showed your support by sending off the e-mail I posted. Thanks, rcher

As far as the MHC goes, Our club had a shoot today, and Ido all the registration. When people came in to register as HC I told them about the new MHC class.....Most of the guys thought I was joking at first. Then once I showed them the class change printed from the IBO website they were more than willing to express there distaste in this class.
No one could understand why they would possibly want to move to 45 yrds with a hunter setup and said that if they wanted to shoot that yardage they would have simply moved to MBR.
I dont think this new class is going to have very many if any shooters. Like they said there is no advantage. And there was not a single HC shooter today that wanted to shoot this class and all said they would not in the future.

Sounds like BOD didn't read or listen to those who did. It may just be the end of the my future plans of attending major shoots, I know I can't shoot what some the HC scores are turned in as and I won't waste my money trying to compete onthat level.

The people that want the new class do not have to be seniors. If a large enough numberegister the fact that they want the class it will impress the BOD. The senior class is one that everyone is headed for sooner or later. Only 23 people expressed a opinion on the original threads but that number for the number in the class is pretty big. Lots of people that are in the senior class have no computer skills and they don't want any computer skills. Many of the people in the class come from all over the country but a large number does not come from a single Club, State, etc. There are also some seniors shooting other class that may consider shooting the new class.
