A message to everyone that is taking to the woods this fall. Please be careful, and don' t forget the SAFTEY BELT, IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE. Just yesterday a friend and customer of mine took to the woods to place his treestands for this fall and fell 20 feet where he broke his back and severly severed his spine, it will be a miracle if he is ever to walk again. Please if you take the time to read this post, I' ll have you know it would probably take you about the same amount of time to put your saftey belt on. Be safe and good luck in all your endeavors.

Brandon.
Sorry to hear about your friend thats real bad news.
As for me I dont venture off the ground unless I am wearing my Seat Of the Pants full body harness and connected to the tree at all times.

Brandon, I am also sorry to hear about your friend. Thanks for reminding us about the safety belts. While we' re at it we should also remember to carefully check our treestands prior to putting them up and frequently during the season. I know how easy it is to assume that everything will perform alright, and I have to force myself to check and recheck everything to quarantee that to happen. Almost all of the injuries recieved in this sport bear a direct link to skipping the basic safety precautions that we all know we should use. This year for all of our sakes, lets try and do things right.
I pray your friend sees a full recovery.

Hope that all goes well and thanks for the information.
JR Absher sent out a news item about an Ohio hunter that shot a Elk and while following it accidently stuck an arrow in his leg and bled to death. Safety is something that we all need to be aware of at all times when we are handling Arrows and or Guns.
I hope your friend has a full recovery and very soon.
