Default RE: Trad class question

The reason that there is a rule disallowing multiple knock locators is more than likely due to someones idea that it will prevent string walking. As Bill Curlis wrote in his post, there is a definatly a lack of information.

The reason I believe that multiple knock locators is a rule that does not accomplish it's intended purpose is as follows (if the purpose is as stated above).

1) It would be easier to string walk with one knock locator. The person that is so inclined could split his normal knock position and then knock under on longer shots and over on shorter shots. With two nock locators the gap would be too large to be benefical unless the distance variance was extreme.

2) It could serve as a handicap to the shooter that uses a mediteraninan release (split finger). When using a split finger type release a downward presure could unintentionallybe exerted on the arrow with the finger above and there is not a locator to keep the arrow from sliding down. The above should not be a problem for a person shooting three fingers under, due to the pressure on the arrow being below and pushing up against the knock locator (normally).

If it is a rule then it is a rule and I will comply, but it does not change the fact that I think it is unneccessary rule (to express it politely).

The above is based upon my knowledge of shooting traditional equipment and by no means is my knowledge complete.

If someone has a different opinion of why this is or is not a good rule then please share it here. I for one am eager to be exposed to different ideas.

On a similar but different subject, I wish organizations such as IBO would get over this string/face walking misconception. If someone learned how to shoot a bow in this manor then they can probably make it work, but IT IS NOT SOME BOLT ON GADGET THAT WILL MAKE EVERYONE A MORE ACCURATE SHOT!!!!!!

Sorry for the crescendo of my passion in the last sentence.
