Ken,
Yes, we are out here, hadn't seen the changes till you mentioned it.
Seems that the board has put a lot of thinkinginto the changes for this year! I hope that most people will be happy with them. The board has given the hunter class shooters what they have asked for.
Have you figured out what your job title is yet? We can't call you rain maker anymore!! Maintance Tech doesn't fit either, perhaps just plain old office boy will work!!

Thanks to the IBO for hearing and acting on the SHC. I was out this year due to a back injury but I hope to return and shoot in this "new" class next year. Thanks again. I truly hope this class helps restore the true "bowhunting" competition for those of us inour twilight years.

Kudos to the IBO Board of Directors and KW for creating the SHC, and to those whose inquiries and votes helped to make it happen!!! I am surethere will be a pretty good number of old hunters shooting their favorite sticks and strings in this newgroup and having fun among their peers. Now if we can just get a Senior Discount Card for gasoline to make the trip to Snow Shoe for 2005. See all you old string waxers there!

Hey rcher, Thanks for your share.

Thanks pselee, but it is the board,Ken and all the seniors who filled out the questionnaire at the Triple crown shoots. We just started the ball rolling and that's the way it should work I guess. See you on the circuit next year (I hope my back holds up!)

Hello Ken, do you think there will be a change in numbers in msr due to this new class, the old man class that is.

Hi Ken,
Yes indeed, I did see the changes made and I think they are a great change for the better. I shot in the MHC at world and had a good time. I like the new name as that is what we have in our BHA(Bowhunters of Alabama) tournaments. We have bow novice, bowhunter and bowhunter advanced, and the men's unlimited class(MBR class for IBO). This is a natural progression for a shooter that wants to compete at a higher level with pins instead of a scope. The 40 yard max is another great idea that several of us voted on at world also. I am glad to see that we as members have a voice and that it does count. I am already for the southern triple crown to get here and have already booked my same room for world next year. I hope everyone has a great hunting season and I look forward to seeing a lot of our IBO friends at Wetumpka next spring.......

rcher did have a big part in this. His explanations and urgings did help get the ball rolling, along with many others. We're not real quick to change but we do listen.
We do believe this class will take some from HC, MSR, MCBH. Some from a couple others. Hopefully a few more shooters will hit the local clubs now. Invite them back. Thats why we added theguest pass for the membership. YOU CAN BRING A GUEST.
Hoytshooter, our plan has been to allow several tiers for the different levels of competition. Not everybody wants to step up that firsrt year against the pros.
The new rule book is pretty neat. Even nysrep can follow it. (just kiddin Rudy). Gonna take some time to finish it. We will get it on asap.
