Default Furture Bowhunters Shoot

The Furture Bowhunters Shoot had to be canceled because of a thunderstorm .Maybe next year , it could be on Fri at 2pm , instead of Sat . That way Sat could be the makeup day. It was moved to Sun at 10am , but I think most people had to leave. There was a lot of disappointed kids .

I was at the FBH shoot on Saturday and the way Ken and the Staff handled it......I saw no disappointed kids or parents. In fact Ken asked the parents and the kids if that was ok to give them their prizes and metals right there under the tent and then have those who could shoot on Sunday and everyone agreed on Sunday at 9:00 am. Ken still had 40 or more kids on Sunday. I'd saylike everything else it turned out ok in spite of an 1 1/2 hourof rain for the whole weekend. Moving it to Friday at 2:00....alot of parents would still be on the ranges.

I think the way the FBH event was handled was in the best way possible. Yes, it was disappointing for the kids not to shoot when they were all excited, but safety has to be the first & foremost issue. Parents & children all seemed to appreciate that Ken asked them about giving out prizes and medals on Sat. and arranging a shoot time for Sunday. What I saw & heard under the tent was smiles and excitement; a reminder that children are pretty open to change. Kudos to all that were there and to the sponsors that donated so many great prizes!
