Default Cant pull the trigger/pics

I have been hunting for about 7 years and have shot bucks but never a doe. I have a management permit so today I decided it was the day to shoot one. About 2 30 a doe comes in all by herself and feeds for a half hr I COULDNT SHOOT! I had her 45 yards broadside saftey off and the whole nine yards. She left and about and hr later two more come in one was very nice prolly 125 lbs yet again perfect shot opportunity and had the safe on and off about 100 times but just couldnt bring myself to shoot her.

I think the problem is that I was brought up to take only bucks and never to shoot a doe. I know that these doe need to be shot and see plenty of them but just cant bring myself to do it.
Does anyone else have this problem?????

Side note My friend shot a nice 9 pt buck this morn here in washington county NY hopefully I can get some pics and

Here is my buddies 9ptr he got

My old man is an old school deer hunter. It took him a long time to get used to the idea of shooting doe's. I remember the first doe he took, he looked sick! He said he wasn't sure how he felt about it and didn't think he would do it again. After years of showing him videos and articals on the topic of proper deer management well lets put it this way he took two doe's on the 22nd of Nov and was as happy as a pig in sh well you know! It takes some getting used to when you were taught for years that killing doe's is tabboo! I like taking young doe's for the taste! mmmmmm!

The deer population is a problem in Maryland (good for us hunters), the number of deer you can take in zone B during the gun season is 2 antlered 10 antlerless! That goes for archery and muzzel loader too. That's 30 doe and 6 bucks per hunter! If you shoot a buck you need to shoot two doe before you can shoot another buck.

My daughter has hit 2 deer this year with her car and has cost me and my insurance company more than $5,000 in damage.

My roots are in Minnesota and we also were brought up not to shoot doe so I can relate to your delema. I don't have a problem shooting doe any more, one reason being population control and the other reason is they tast really good.
