boy PETA sure would like this group. placing hunters in a catagory like this. only pointing out negative points only a few hunters practace in the woods. i feel like im reading the words out of a peata members mouth . well i'v enjoyed hunting and any one that knows me around here in my town knows that i respect hunters and our fine sport of hunting. "everyone shoot sraight and hunt safe and also teach a few to hunt as sportsmen and sportswoman the right way to hunt" may you all get the buck of your life. (IRISH)

M187,
No disrespect to "those from the city", but just in my county in the last 20 years, 2 horses and 3 cows have been shot by "city hunters".
Now granted, the cows were Jerseys and were young...but comeon, a cow?!
No, locals don't shoot cows. Locals jacklight, hunt without a license, and hunt completely out of season. Everybody has their problems.
But for the most part, I think 95-99% of ALL hunters are safe and conscientious about their hunting brethren, hence the low casualty/fatality rate nationwide.
The only thing about "city hunters" that bothers me, personally, is they get excited when they harvest a nice deer and start hollering at the top of their lungs, which spooks deer for the surrounding 10-20 acres...
...but I'll forego any bitterness there, a first time is a first time, period.

Just got back last night, so far we have 2- 10 pts (officially 8 & 9 pts) but both had 10 pts but one had 2 pts that were not an inch and the other had one. The official 8 pt had some real mass and dressed out at 225, we had 2 misses and 3 bear sightings. Personally I saw 1 doe & 1000 squirrels. The area we have is the left side of the SCHIFF trail from the Entrance on rt 23 up to the 4 wheel drive area on down to the private land off SWAMP POND RD.---Is this near you?
Hope you had good luck----going back up after work until next tuesday----maybe Ill seesomething this time.

WoW what a small world. I am directly next door to your hunting spot. One of your crew hunted about 400 yards from me on mon. off of R23. Don't tell me he's the one that hit one of the 8 pointers. He wasn't there on tue.
