Default Crop Permits - Not Easy to Fill

Well, over this weekend we spent 14 man hours on stand trying to fill the crop damage permits that I posted about. We saw a LOT of deer, but the only ones that were within about 200 yards (as far as I'm willing to attempt a shot) were bucks. There are so many bucks on this property I can't wait until bow season.

Gonna try again next weekend. I'm going to put my climber in a tree near where I've seen a lot of the deer activity.

Had a crop damage permit last year, I can see a lot of field from my yard so what I would do is just wait until the deer were in the field and then walk through the woods to the edge where they were at. Easy pickens. Not bragging, it wasn't really hunting but it was on a damage permit so we were just interested in taking as many as we could.

Are you hunting an apple farm? Lots of apples up your way. Good deer hunting I bet.
