Default My buddy just popped a 20" 11 ptr. in Md. (New pic added)

I got his cell phone call from the downed deer before 8:00 this morning. He said the 12th point was broken off, and the buck itself had a small body. His rack has good mass, but the tines aren't too long. If anyone deserves a nice buck like that, it is him. He hunts almost every day of every season and scouts year round. This is the third nice buck he's taken this year, and maybe the best he's taken ever (he got one grossing 151 and netting 148 typical about 5 years ago).

Pics are on page 2

I will be glad to email someone pictures as soon as I get them. I don't know if he has a digital camera, but he has sent me scanned pictures before, including one from his camtrakker he set up in that area that shows a 160 or so class buck from August that he thinks is still out there.

I'll put them up Doug if you get them to me. BTW, where is your friend hunting?

Charles County. He took pictures, and said he will be developing and scanning them soon.

Doug, did your buddy kill it with a bow or a muzzleloader?

He got it with his muzzleloader. If it weren't for scouting early last week, he never would have hunted that spot. He had his favorite places to hunt in that area, but the deer activity seemed to change locations between the shotgun opener and muzzleloader season.

I WILL email someone the picture to post when I get it. He has pictures of himself with the buck and also with the buck lying in the woods. I was shocked to find out he didn't hunt yesterday! I'm sure he's hunting somewhere today though, despite the rain...
