Today I spoke to a friend who claims he was recently informed [by PAGC] that baiting is now legal in the special regulation areas.
I know this is hearsay info... but he said the baiting law was pushed into effect at the very end of the season and was kept pretty much hush-hush.
Has anyone else heard the same... or is this a rumor?
If this topic was already covered on this board... I apologize in advance. I must have missed the thread.

Havent heard antyhing either but I do remember the subject of baiting coming up at an Alt meeting I attended. I think he said not to rule out anything in areas with way too many deer, including baiting. If it had been proposed, I tend to think that it would've been caught sooner with all the people, both pro and con, watching the changes going on.

I just want to clarify...
My intention was not to create a rumor because that is all this is, as far as I'm concerned... until I hear otherwise. Like the rest of you... I find it pretty hard to believe this could have passed under the rug.
Also... I didn't intend to use that rumor to bash Alt. I might not agree with a few of his policies... but that's not my style.
Just making sure... but I will definitely keep my ears open... and if I hadn't been pumming a bathroom all afternoon [for the third time] I would have called the PAGC and found out for myself.
Just for the record... I hate 40 yr old plumming. It can be a lot like domino's... only worse.
Thanks for the replies. If you hear anything... keep this thread in mind.

I have heard this rumor too. But I am pretty sure that it is just a rumor. I have heard so many of them lately. I have heard that baiting is going to be allowed for bear and deer next year, I heard that semi-auto rifles are going to be allowed. I heard that doe tags are going to be sold over the counter, I heard that the game commission is going to start paying people half the price of a doe tag for each tagged doe that they bring in. It is just a bunch of bull sh!t in my opinion. I would hate for that stuff to be legal in Pennsylvania. Until the Game Commission releases papers that say these are going to be new laws I am not going to believe it.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)
