[quote=ManySpurs;3409635]To hot to scout. August is the time to be setting out by the pool watching bikini clad MILFs strutting their stuff whilst I sip on sweet tea and have recollections of younger, more virile times while taking a stroll down memory lane via Skynyrd and Pink Floyd. And seeings how Saturday was the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, it was a good weekend to put on the hippy music and watch those MILFS act like 1969 flower children high on life.

Seeings how bucks are so active during this month of the year, evenings are meant to be spent watching fields and taking stock of who is coming out where, how big he is and where he's prolly gonna be in October when it's time to hunt him far away from where he is in August.

Amen ManySpurs, spent the weekend in Ocean City watching the scenery with a Guiness in hand. Doe scouting is much better this time of year.

And what great memories of our generation!

Ah yes. Good old Ocean City. You lucky dog. Haven't been there since I was a long haired Yankee boy in 1968. That area was pretty redneck back then. We got run out of a campground for smooozing with a campground owners daughter. She liked long hair and her ol' man didn't.

When it's this hot, my scouting consists of spot lighting.

Was out in Illinois planting food plots on our lease and doing a little scouting this past weekend. Sat nite at dusk we saw 14 bucks together in the same beanfield. Two were 150+ class two more were 130+ and a couple more were close to that. Saw one that was missing a side that would have made him 24"+ inside if both antlers were symmetrical and intact.

Sun nite we saw 18 bucks in that same field and one was an OMG! BOONER! three more 150+ and 3-4 in the 130's

Looks like a banner year coming up in my little corner of the midwest

It's a shame that your bitterness has clouded your perceptions on every front. I pity you in a way because you will obviously never figure out how to enjoy our great sport again.
