Chalk another one up for the little [&:] bird, no thread is safe.
I see you are back to posting nonsense again just to start an argument. BTW, did you forget who started this thread?

Using that analogy both units should then have three or four times as many license allocated and deer harvested as what is presently occurring.

Hey, I’m all for it. Send your recommendation for the need of more antler less license in units 2F and 2Gto the Board of Commissioners.
The Commissioners do not respond to suggestions by hunters. They rely on the recommendations of the professional deer managers. So maybe you would like to explain why those experts aren't following the criteria they said they were using to manage the herd?
Shouldn't it be obvious to you by now that you're obviously not aware of ALL the criteria they use? With all the misguided armchair biologists out there now who can't understand the simplest of deer management principles, who could blame the biologists for notdisclosing lesser criteria that might be in play?

I fully understand and am aware all the criteria they use, and that is why I know they are lying when they claim that the herd is being managed based on herd health ,forest health and deer/human conflicts. If the goal is good forest health they would still be reducing the herd in all but one WMU ,which is the only WMU that is at it's goal for forest health and 2F and 2G would be managed at the same densities.

Do you have an explanation regarding why the PGC isn't trying to attain good forest health statewide?

You've obviously already been furnished with more information than you could grasp so it can not be released to you at this time. Come back and ask when you have a trueunderstanding of all the information already available to you.

That is a pretty arrogant attitude for someone that couldn't define the different RDDs and claimed the herd was now being managed at the optimal sustained yield when the optimum sustained yield is over 40 DPSM. Until you understand the terminology of deer management, you are in no position to belittle other peoples knowledge of the subject.

It's not that I don't understand the RDD principles. And if you really understood them, there would be no need for this exchange. It is simply not worth the time and effort to attempt to get them across to you. If I could manage to explain in a way you could understand, which I doubt, you would simply go to work with your fact blender and spend the next 50 pages to twist, spin and distort them to fit your agenda.

IF you understood RRD principles and terminology you wouldn't have claimed our herd was being managed at the optimal sustainable yield. I can back up what I say because I understand both the principles and terminology and can apply them to analyze the current deer management plan in a rational manner. On the other hand ,you have to rely on what RSB and the PGC tells you.

Yes, of course, you've told me and countless others that we "don't understand"

Thank you for the compliment!

I appreciate the fact that you have placed me and many others on this forum on your list of those who don't understand deer management.

Since your list of those who "don't understand" includes some of the smartestbiologists and wildlife managersin the business of deer management, I consider that comment that you have repeated often to bevery complimentary.

I guess I should return one. It's a bit of a challenge but here goes.....

Bluebird2, you have as great a grasp of deer and habitat management as any USP follower I know of. You might even be as "whitetail wise" as Jim Slinsky

IMHO that would mean you know less about deer management than the average USP member.
