They also extended ML season 2 weeks also. Not sure if it was for the whole state or what part. Anyone know this?

I have to believe that the majority of all hunters are indifferent to cross bows. Bowhunters (which I am one) are not the majority of hunters, and of those Bowhunters (which I am one), there are a percentage who are indifferent to cross bows. Why do we need to bash each other over cross bows when it is a mute point now. It's been passed, let's focus on the importance of ethics, shooting within the limits of the cross bow, perparation before hunting with a cross bow, etc.... Stop with the anti-crossbow banter because they are legal now.

I do believe the majority of hunters in PA. wanted Xbows. There are way more gun hunters than bow hunters. I know before I used a bow that I always wanted to hunt with a Xbow. I know there are waymore gun hunters who also agree with me on that. So I do believe this is what the majority of hunters wanted in your state.
WAIT UNTIL YOU CAN USE GUN FROM ARCHERY TO FEB.

crossguns/compounds/flintlocks will all be put in the attic.

IN-LINES/CENTERFIRES will rule.[:@]

Sorry. I dont respect them any more than I did previously and all this rediculous decision by the corrupt few in the agency has done is make me respect them, too, even less. I don't have to like it any more now than I did before and Imperfectly entitled to express my views. That doesnt change just because pgc or anyone else "says so". This issue isnt gonna magically go away for most, it hasnt in Ohio with the infighting on the same topic and theyve been legal there for decades. Its a division that will always be there and that is what we are gonna have to accept, like it or not. Dont blame me or other "fellow hunters". Like the deer mess, we arent the ones who created it.

As for "ethics" and staying within the shooting limits for crossbowers, good luck with that. I want no part of it. Its THEIR responsibility anyways. Not mine.

Well gentlemen, I don'thow the rest of you feel, but I think my quality time that archery season provided me, just came to an end!
I'm 53 years old. I gave up rifle hunting in 1980. Two reasons I did so was one: I just didn't feel any accomplishment taking another
buck with a firearm. It was like, another deer season here and another deer leaving the woods. How boring. The other reason was: I hunt all public land and I was getting tired of some of the idiots that shouldn't be in the woods. And I really believe I'm going to experience some of my past rifle season episodes again in future archery seasons. Guy's walking by me with there crossgun at half extended position, thinking they are going to put the sneak on a deer. Guy's posting out in front of me, even knowing I am there. This iswhat I dreaded about crossbows being passed.

very good info.

last year bear were killed with crossbows before bear gun season and they DROVE the bear too.

you will see more crews driving in archery also with CROSSBOWS.

I would like it like Alabama, I think is the state. Someone correct me if I am wrong. But you are allowed 1 deer a day.? Or maybe you all could have like a 1 week redkneck hunt. Where anything can be used anyway you want. Spotlights to snares for 1 week. That is the future of PA.

"like a 1 week redkneck hunt. "

Thats a fine name for our "new" archery season. Our once pristine revered season has been degraded times ten. Like a sweet youg beauty thats been traded in for an old used upharlot with a wart on her nose, 3 teeth, cigarette breathand a saggy bottom.
